My five year old had the pleasure of participating in the classroom version of the Money Bunny lesson plan, and I am happy to report that I could really tell the difference in the way he viewed our purchase decisions. Before the class, I really don’t think he realized the difference between needs and wants. Now he often reminds me to rethink my own wants during our trips to the grocery store. I think the Money Bunny program is awesome and I am grateful it was offered to my son’s class.

My son is too young to have a “real job,” but he really wanted to earn some money this summer. He and a friend decided to host a “camp” for neighborhood kids age 4-10. Activities included a squirt gun fight, a Lego building contest, and kickball. Campers (and their moms!) loved the idea and my son made enough money to buy a much-wanted video game and save 20% of his earnings.
